Is this tractor a collector? My Dad has a cousin with one for sale and Dad thinks its a collector since there weren't many made. Sometimes I wonder if many weren't made because they didn't have value when new.
It's a family price deal, probably more than its worth. We still haven't been told to make an offer, but I am just wondering if it has more value than a comparable 300.
Thanks!

"Rare" is a relative thing. There were only 1,104 Case 350s made (199 Standard 350s and 905 Row-Crop 351s). If it were a John Deere or Farmall with those low production number the "rarity" would be reflected in a premium price. From a practical standpoint, the low production Case models from that era seem to be more desirable amongst Case collectors, but generally don't garner big premiums unless the numbers produced are very small (i.e. <25).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder on these tractors, but I would definitely prefer a 350 over a straight 300. There are two potential drawbacks to the 350: One is the 164 ci engine (Overhaul kits are getting hard to find and expensive); Two, the 36" rear tires on the 351 are not as common as the 28" tires on most of the 300s. My experience has been that the 36" rear tires are expensive in relative terms. That being said, the 350's are a combination of parts from the 300 series (tin work) and the later 500B/600B series (nearly everything else), so finding parts is not as challenging as the low production numbers might suggest.

I'm fortunate to have both models (300 & 350), but the 351 makes my top 5 list of most desired Case tractors of the "two-tone" era. The four others on my top 5 list are: 630, 1030, 570 and a 300/300B diesel.

What are they wanting for it & what is the condition? We have 1 here w/ wide adjustable front that will never be for sale as long as i live. Mine doesn't look as good as Joe's, but doesn't look bad either. They are hard to find.
