waukesha engine

I have this waukesha engine/generator. It came from a city water treatment plant. It is mod.,1c 182 j. It is 3 1/4 x 4 b+s. Does this fit any case tractors? Or any other brands that anyone knows of. I was going to use it to power a welder but I'm never going to get to that so I would let it go if someone can use it. It has been outside but the exhaust is covered and it is loose. It was suposed to have had a recent overhaul acording to the city that gave it to me. If someone could use it to put in a tractor or for parts I would prefer that, otherwise it will be scrap next week. I live in east central Mn. between Minneapolis and Duluth.

It has the same bore and stroke as the Case RC but I donot know if it will bolt into a tractor. Some of the experts here will likely know. I have no need for the engine but hope someone will save it from the scrap yard. I would however like to have the SC PTO cover that is setting on top of the engine.

Post that on the Smoke stak site. Lot of pople there with Waukesha questions for those models and a high percentage have to do with generator sets.

Are you sure it is not an FC, which is what a Case RC did have? The FC was a 144 cu in motor and was used in numerous applications, hough payloaders, military, early IH, and AC tractors, as well as welders, compressors, etc... It kind of looks like FC set up for dual fuel application. How many KW is that generator tagged for?

Here are a couple Case RC photos from the Photo Gallery. The engine certainly looks similar to the one in the RC photos.

not the same as the RC. the water outlet to the radiator is different.look at the tag on the upper right corner of the engine , it will have the engine info.
