1949 SC magneto

Just-in-Case

Hey Guys, I've been reading this forum for about 3 years just because I find antique tractors fascinating; that, and my dad actually started to collect a few in his last years which was a bit of a surprise. He passed away about 18 months ago, unfortunately, and took most of the knowledge that I might need from time to time with him.
So anyhow, a couple of weeks ago I attempted to get the foursome (collection) of tractors running again since they have been just sitting (indoors) for about two years. Had to drain the bad gas out of all of them, clean up the glass drain bowl & valves, re-charge the batteries, and get fresh, stabilized gas primed into the cylinders to have a chance at life. Got 2 of the 4 going, and the most satisfying was getting the 1929 Case L (on steel) to light off! Ended up getting a little help and pulled it a bit since my arm was worn out!
So, the problem I have with the SC is that I'm not getting fire to any of the plugs. I'm therefore thinking that the magneto is possibly grounded out internally somehow. I don't know enough about magnetos. Dad did have an IT shop manual (this one is: C-201 if that helps) that drives me crazy since it seems to cover about every letter series (and a few numbers as well) but does not have an index in the back so that I can quickly find pertinent information. Don't know if the information I need is in there or not. I would like to know what kind of magneto is on the tractor in hopes of looking up the vendor online and hopefully finding some kind of diagram to help me troubleshoot the issue and track down the problem. I'm afraid you guys are going to tell me that there may have been more than one brand installed which means I have to drive the 13 miles over there just to find out what make it is myself. Anyway, your help on this will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. my handle might throw you off. The other two tractors are: 1939 9N Ford, and 1949 JD M

as always a pic says it all! unfortunately, almost
all flange mount magnetos will bolt on and most
would work fine. it is very likely it will have a
case but a lot of case tractors have a wico mag. all
mags have very expensive caps so be careful! never
trip the impulse on the mag without having a wire to
ground and/or through a sparkplug. good luck!
