Saw this 430 all fuel at Half Century of Progress.
Has anyone ever seen an all fuel 430?

Nick;

I visited with the owner a few years ago at La Grange, Indiana. The tractor has a conventional serial tag and the engine has a tag indicating a power unit engine. Belief was that the tractor was special order and assembly line pulled the power unit engine to make the order. All indications are thet the installation was done when tractor was built.

We saw that one at the show as well, and spent a good bit of time looking it over. WHen I got home, I checked all of my 430 series parts manuals, brochures, operators manuals, etc and couldn't find any reference to an "all Fuel", or "Low Cost Fuel" or "Multi-fuel" option for the 430. A "Low cost fuel" option with separate tanks was still available on the 300B series, but I can't find anything after that. If it is a factory system, I'm guessing we saw (and are seeing through your pictures) a very rare tractor.... - Joe

Thanks for the replies.
I wonder if the build card is available for this tractor?

I'm a litle in the dark about what denotes the machines design to make it a multi-fuel? It can run on any liquid which will detonate in the compression chamber ,is that right? Does this include the diesel fuels available as well as 85 octane gasoline , e85 and the other types of ethanol fuels, alcohol, Kerosene, etc,etc.I don't see any Lp or Propane equipment so that would rule out those forms of cheaper fuel.And how many hours of operation justifys the extra cost of this technology? It looka as if a more or less standard Carb is installed.standard fuel tank is what i see,maybe a different intake manifold from what I can see below the hood of the tractor.Is this a novelty tractor or was it really designed and built to work on a farm? An Industrial would have a different paint job. When I worked for IHC back in the 1960's we had about 6 different Case machines on site under scrutiny to compare with the IHC "I" Industrial line and the 3414 etc the "T" series crawlers and all the Case were painted Federal Highway yellow to denote light industrial machines. Not farm colors as this tractor is painted or has it had an owners preference applied.It is indeed a nice looking little Case I must admit.

I thought I had several more pictures of that little 430 including the serial number tag, the hood showing both fuel caps, and the dash. However, these are the only pics I could find. The serial number tag in these pictures is the engine tag. Note that there is no Model number. The engine serial number is 200657. Can Rich Tworek find the build card based on the engine serial number? If I remember correctly he can only get to a relative wide period of time for that lot of engines.... But I could be mistaken.

Note the valve setup for controlling the two fuel tanks in the second picture.
