DC Lifting Bail

Just wondering what it was used for? My grandpa's DC he gave me has the TA-7 mower mount on it and I found the lifting bail this past week in his shop in the rafters. Got it to keep it with the old gal but just wondering what they were used for.

they had a set of implements that would work with them, most commonly was the cultivators mounted to the tractor

I have a one bottom two way plow that is bail lift, they made them Motor-lift style and hyd bail lift also cnt

I was told this was the case version of the IH fast hitch. They used this for a mounted coultivator.
