I haven't had much luck doing a google search to learn much about the Case 1294, and I've never owned a Case, so I'm asking for all the info I can get before I go look at a Case 1294 with a Case loader that was just offered for sale.
I have not seen the tractor yet, and won't until sometime this weekend. I don't know the year model. Here is what I do know; it has 1384 hours, owned for about 2 years by a friend whom just got a great deal on a newer tractor (thus reason for him to sell; wife won't let him have two), and he wants $6000 for it.
Now, my questions are;
Everything???? Tell me everything you know that I should be aware of, or should know, and what to look for, when I go look at this tractor.
The fellow that is selling it says it's a 60-70 HP tractor; he can't remember exactly. And he doesn't know the year model. He used it the hay fields last year and for the first cuttin this year (maybe the only cuttin iffin we don't get some rain), and various other things like bush hogging.
$6000 seems a good deal, but I'm asking you guys cause I don't know anything about Case tractors.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

Basically an updated 995 DB.

Built by David Brown in England from 1983-1988. 57 pto HP

1300 hours isn't many...DB counts hours at 1412 rpm, most other makers are closer to 2000, that makes the actual hours even lower.

I'd expect the original french or english made goodyear tires with a fair amount of tread and lots of checking, anything else and I would question the actual hours.

hard to judge value without more details. Paint/Rust, Red or White? Cab/heat/air, 4wd? Tire condition?

the "94" series were built 1983-1985, 1394 were rated 55 pto hp my book showes low auction price of 6110.00 low to 6937.00 high this would be without loader, so if the hrs are correct and the loader sounds like a good price to me, hope this helps am sur some one eles will add aditional things, this I believe is a up ated 990 David Brown tractor built in England, I myself really like the DB's they are fuel efficent and dependable cnt

I don't know about English or French, don't no the make of the tires, but he said the rubber was good. (I know when I see it, that will answer a lot of my questions).
It is not a 4wd.
I previously said that I haven't seen the tractor. Well, that's only partly true; I have seen it, but never paid any attention to it. As I recall, it is mostly white in color, and to me, looks more like an industrial type tractor. No cab, no heat. (i don't need heat for what I do; I'm accustomed to bundling up in the cold)
Thanks to all for the info; keep it coming.

$6000 would be top of market in my opinion, for a fender tractor without 4wd.

At that price it had best be very nice, good paint, clean, no oil leaks...

If it is white sheet metal, black under carriage, and orange wheels it was built from 83-85.

That's what I needed to know. I just couldn't find enough info online to get an idea of value. Thanks
