Case 1175 pto & hyd ?'s

Hi, a guy at work got a line on a 1175 case for sale close to me.
I called the owner and am going Sunday to look at it .
The owner says the Pto doesn't work and the hyd pump is not working either he said he was using in zero weather and blew a hyd hose and shut it down immediately and replaced the bad hose and the hyd's have never worked scence... he says the 3point works fine !He want's $800 bucks for it ( i think it would be worth that) anybody have and insights on what to look for- tips-hints ?

I dont understand how the 3 pt can work and the hyd pump not work but for $800 I would buy it annd worry about fixing it later.

If that tractor can run its a steal at $800.

P.S. The problem sounds like its in the flow divider

Hi and thanks for the reply.. We went and Looked at the tractor this am the tractor is in pretty good shape nothing that has to do with the hyd's works very well the steering is better than manual but not working properly thats for sure as is the same for the brakes.
The guy said it had set months with out being started and it turned over kinda slow * weak battery* but fired right up and sounded great !
I ran it through all the gears and it seemed to shift alright ..after I brought it back from the test run I noticed the water pump as a drip out of it and the fan pulley was moving around a lot and decided to but a water pump on it before we road it home * it's be about a 45 min ride* and I wouldn't want to loose the fan through the radiator .... it looked as if the gauges worked... the heater core must leak and the hose are jumped together and there is no belt on the AC,, and he said the never has been on on it in the 2 years he's owned the tractor

all in all for $800 dollars a guy could spend a little money on it and have a good tractor with spending several thousand dollars on one* If you couldn't tell by now we told him we'd take it* wish us luck

Sounds like you bought a nice tractor that just needs a little work.
