930 Comfort King hydraulic problem. Weak remotes.

OK, this CK that I worked on this winter is back with a new problem. The 3 point is working ok, but the remotes have no power. They'll move a remote cylinder in and out, but won't lift anything. Put a pressure gauge in place and there's only 500 psi pressure. Pulled the auxiliary valve off and took the pressure relief valve out. Cleaned that all up with brake cleaner and inspected it. All looks good. Still no better.

this is the early style auxiliary valve with the pressure relief mounted on the bottom. the tractor does have DOM....

I'm wondering if it's the hydraulic pump or the suction o-ring I'm going to dig deeper into the suction o-ring possibility here tomorrow.. Just wondered what else it could be?

Thanks.

On the last 930(931), there are safety valves. They are like small simple relief valves with a higher pressure rating. The nylon stem and seat get melted. Some dealers tap and plug them but I use the replacement high temp parts. Don't know if your model would be the same.

Yes, this is a 931.... That very well could be what the issue is....

Is it logical to figure thought that not all of them would fail at the same time? The people claim it just recently stopped working.......

The thermals are located in the right hand end cap so the left side should have normal pressure even if the bodies and guides are warped in the RH side. The relief in the bottom is the latest setup and was used clear thru the 70 series. In addition the main relief also controls the hitch so if the remotes are low on all ports the hitch should be also. The flow simply flows thru the remote valve to the hitch valve so pressures are the same. If you are sure the pump is good then recheck the relief especially the o ring that sits at the very top of the sleeve where the retainer with the taper on the bottom edge sits. I have seen many that that oring is completely gone and will create exactly what you are describing. mEl

Yes, that oring you refer to was there. It was a little old and hard, but not cracked and definitely not missing.......

I'll go through all the remotes and report back.

OK, left side remotes have about 750-900 psi, right side, 400-500. this is at 1500 rpm. The needle on my gauge vibrates aggressively when doing this test......

What think? I'm gonna check into the suction o-ring on the pump next I guess.....
