I am sending a big plea out to anyone. My Grandfather gave me a Case DC a couple years ago. I got motor unstuck but not much more. HE told me when he gave it to me that all he wanted was to see it running before he died...............well.................today he got diagnosed with lung cancer. I am not good at this and need help.....I promised him........IF ANYONE can help me I live south of Topeka near Lyndon, KS I work at the Nuke plant nights and only have Sunday afternoon.......would like to get it running and take video to him. He is 87YO and I deperatly need help...........ANYONE?

there is elmers repair several miles to the north in centralia, ks. they have forgotten more than I will ever know. tom

I should not need any parts......dont think so anyway. Main thing is to get it back together (torque down head, rockers and such) and put carb back together and get adjusted........anybody know the start setting for a rebuilt carb? get tank and dash back together and make sure radiator is back in right........Really not a lot of work I don't think just over whelming for me at this time......mag has good spark and i got it mounted and timed by what book says.......will need adjustment after back together i suspect.............

Having just loosing my father and best friend to lung cancer, I undertsand the feeling. I wish I was closer to help because I sure would.Have you tried to start the old gal? I have heard lots of stories where they unstick them and they start up . Good Luck and my orayers are with you and you grandfather. kenny

I have a dealers service manual so I should be able to answer most questions.
A little trick to help installing fan blades: Cut the heads off 2 1/4 inch bolts and screw them in then put in the other two bolts permanently and replace the lineup bolts with 2 more permanent ones.

Sorry i did not call anyone on this. Been really busy. Till today. I was off work and went to work on the old gal.

But low and behold away she went and is now running great. Well sort of. the water pump is leaking (only when she is off though) and the radiator is in need of new core. Lots of grime, rust and such in it. plus a couple leaks. New tires are in order too. But main thing is she is running and never sounded better.

on second note I brought home the sickle mower that he bought with the tractor back in '51 it is a TA-7. Mount is on the tractor. It is in need of A LOT of work as it has been in weeds 40 years. But that is another story. Main part is this old gal is running.
