This is how we roll in the dairy state! Got some funny looks by passing cars but it's all paid for! 1935 C and CASE model L grain drill with a McCormick double packer. Got all my oats in, now for some corn.

Great! Thanks for the photos. I would have liked to been there for the event. I have an L and a Grand Detour one-way I want to put together one of these days.

Wow!! now I have a "Case" of envy LOL really Jim that is a really nice setup like SD said I would have liked to have been there, is that a 8' drill?? I have one like it but no packer and I think mine is a 12' but other wise is set up like yours although your paint looks better thanks for the pics would love to see a video of it in action, haven't got you 35 book sent yet but will have some time in afew days as rain is on its way again take care always look foward to your posts cnt tom

Tom, I had a 16' single disk fertilizer drill but the box rotted out so I junked it and bought this little gem on an auction for $50. 8' 6" spacing double disk openers and grass seed. I have been downsizing to a 10' farm when it comes to the older machinery. CASE double disk drills are next to impossible to find around here.

Good looking outfit Jim !!
I sure enjoyed driving that C when we were up your way last month. It is a nice tight tractor.
Thanks for posting, Nick

Jim around here the same I have three Case end wheel drills and only one is the double disc type, you sure got a deal on that one for sure i give 250-350 for mine except for the "ED" set I have which cost me 600, the first crop I planted with my single disc 12' end wheel was winter wheat and that field went 88 bushels per acre but it was a near perfect year for winter wheat that year hasn't happened since later cnt

Really neat outfit. The first tractor that I was turned loose on was an L.
Around here we have had a lot of diversified Amish coultures buy up local farmland. It started with the verrry tradicionalist's to todays Meninites. There is a local Mn farmer with an 86 series IH, and another with a Case 1270 tractor, on steel. We also have a local Amish repair shop that has put a real dent in the local JD and CNH dealer's shop work. I live about 2 miles from him and it's not uncommon to see 50Ton DD trailers with dozers and trackhoes go by my house, headed for his shop, also.
Any way very nice equipment and I am glad to see that you are keeping it going. Thanks for your post, and pics.

Jim, looks like you put my Case C to work planting oats. Probably been 45+ plus years since that tractor was working in the field. Is that an 8 ft IH roller? I have one of those too. Started working up my oats field today but had to quite because of rain showers this afternoon. Fields are still pretty wet by me in NE WI. If I am lucky might get my 20 acres of oats planted next week. Al

that is one of the nicest original looking C that I have seen, it looks so staight and I can see the original decals. That one looks perfect in its original clothes.
