wanted case 30 series tractor

Hi,
I am looking for a tractor for my dad... He has retired and would like to do a project... He stated wanted a case 30 series that was rc or ag.. (forgive me if I got that wrong) I do believe he mentioned sometime in the 1960-70's range. please let me know what you have and I will get back to you.. thank you

If you don't mind telling us what state your in and what kind of a budget he wants to spend, and does he want a small one thats easy to haul ect..this may give everyone info to help you Thanks Tom CNT

Sandra: Do you plan on surprising Dad with a project tractor? It will be hard to help you without knowing his mechanical skills and just what kind of a project he can handle. Some bring tractors back from the graveyard and renew them . Others take a running tractor fix the oil leaks brakes etc and paint them. There are many good folks on this site, you came to the right place for help. We just need a little more information. gobble

He is pretty mechanically inclined,,, being he grew up on a farm and has been fixing his own truck,, 18 wheeler... I will double check on what he wants...And he was the one who brought it up and wanted us kids to start looking for him..

new hampshire,, He would like one that is at least running but needs work... the price range varys depending on how much work.. etc... but do not believe he wants to spend a lot of money... that would be something needed to discuss with him... If need be I would give his phone number... Oh and he said he was looking for something mid range... the way he explained it to me was if the tractor is a 300 that means that it would be a 30-35 horse power tractor..So he would like something like a 400-600...

I am in Central NY, 55m west of albany. I am dealing on two Case tractors now both running. A 56 400 and a 59 700. Seller won't split them up, and I would love to own both, but budget is an issue and I have several unfinished projects in the shop. My e-mail is open.

I was thinkin the gasser 300 might make your Dad a sweet cheap dependable simple tractor .30 hp . 50s style is more hp. IMHO than the modern rating of 30 hp . the 400b -500-600 b are a little more horses . starting in 1960 430 deisels have some tuf ummpfh ,. they are just a detuned version of the 530 and 630. these models are versatile good all around utility tractors ..the 800 might be too big ? . but . the under 60 hp 800 case-o matic is such a Fine Lady ,gas or diesel , and a very good investment tractor that will command a good price all dolled up . if you like that size ?. the case o matic was a option in the 830, 730 , 1955 /400 had a dry clutch transmission and are very similar ,with many parts interchanging .. and then there is the david brown/case ...started selling in 1973 or so ..some folx really like them for their fuel economy . but you can clearly tell they did not come off of J.I.Case's drawing board . . my 2 cents and happy hunting
