Big 600 Magneto?

I got the build card for my 600lp and it shows: Magneto "Yes". Did a magneto exist for this 6 cylinder engine? I would love to see a picture of one if it's real. Incidentally, the tractor and I share the same birthday, as it left the factory on June 6th, just like I did (albeit 5 years later).

Case put magnetos on the Racine built 400 L P G and larger L P Gas tractors. Claimed the spark was hotter with a mag. than a dist. Made for better starting, was the reason. clint

My big 600 LP also has a distributor on it, not the mag. Parts book and service manual both talk about mag. I was wondering about this also.

Cool, I wonder if any still exist and why they changed them out for distributors. Must have been difficult to time or something.
