I just had a second power steering torque generator rebuilt by a local company here in the Kansas City area, and thought I would pass along their information to others here. This business specializes in steering components for forklifts, construction equipment, AG equipment and off-road vehicles. When attempting to find a rebuilder or parts for these old systems a few years ago they were the only people that I talked with that seemed interested in helping me deal with systems that are obsolete in the eyes of the manufacturer (Eaton). The company has a supply of NOS parts and used parts to repair or rebuild the old Char-Lynn (Eaton) systems that were an option on Rock Island produced tractors from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s. These systems the power steering option on the General Purpose version of the 300 series, 200B-600B series and the early 30 series tractors prior to the hydrostatic steering system that was introduced in about 1964.
