case 930 Comfort King

Wondering why you switched from a foot clutch to a hand clutch. I would be interested in the foot clutch, but have to do a little more research to see if I'm doing the right thing.

Why? Is it your personal preference over a hand clutch or is there problems associated with switching it over. The reason being is I don't like the hand clutch.

For regular field work you can't beat a hand clutch, especialy in the six speed with the oil bath clutch. Smoothest clutch in the world and the longest life. I have 8400hrs on my 1966 930 and only adjusted the clutch once. And for backing up to a imp. you can't beat it( the safest)

Sorry , just repeating the negative purist comment and opinion about tractor modifications .. Don't REALLY know for sure IS swapping over is problematic i can imagine the complex tech differrences , if you get it done PLEASE report back your experience , Even if it fails , So Others can LEARN.. true i have raked hay with a DC hand clutch when i was 11, and my 1st drive was on SC pikn hay at age 4 or 5 with a hand clutch,,, Never had a loader on a hand clutch tractor , BUT I CAN UNDERSTAND the Need for extra arms .. ,hand clutches are nice to work withand ar e fondly cherished in our family ,. hookin up , backing wagons , going thru gates or equipment interruptions , simply leVE IN GEAR and nurse the clutch .. not to mentiomn the nearly bullet proof wet clutch neding little attention or reairs .. since i started early i never suffered trying to get used to hand clutch other than the ORNERY Sc having its clutch on the right

I am restoring a 930,istarted with 2 tractors.I am only going to show and plow with it.The foot clutch can be a little hard for young people to use so that is why I swapted them.
