I just bought a 1993 Case 580 Super K Backhoe. It is hard to start - have to give it several shots of ether while cranking to get it to fire up and stay running. Once it is going it runs fine - no smoking issues. I have been told the injectors probably nebed replacing or it has low compression.
I have an older 580SE that I was replacing - it has the same Cummins engine and has always started great.
Does anyone know what compression tester adapter is required for that engine - Cummins 3.9 litre ?
Also where is the best place to buy new or remanufactured injectors ?
Ayn other thoughts on what might be the problem other than listed above ?
