930 diesel governor problems

I am working on a 1965 930 diesel CK and the governor is non-responsive. The arm just flops around but the engine runs. RPM's change on their own. Anybody have any experience or a parts breakdown for the pump?

I would recommend that you have the pump looked at by a professional pump shop. There are internal adjustments that affect the stability of the governor as far as surging at idle and replacement of parts in the governor can change fuel delivery rate and engine hi idle and idle. Sounds like you have a broken governor spring or something causeing a disconnect between the governor mechanism and the rack. mEl
