1950 Case DC hyd drain plug?

Anyone know where the hydraulic drain plug is on a 1950 Case DC? Or how to drain the hydraulics? I put two quarts of 80/90 in it on accident.. would that wreck the hydraulics?

the two fill holes (under tool box).. from what I have read, the one on the left gets 80/90 and the one on the right gets hydraulic oil?

a picture of the back, again I am looking for a drain plug or a way to drain the hydraulic reservoir. Thanks

If memory is correct,its directly below the pto housing,I think like a 3/4" pipe plug,I remember mine was awful to get out.

Not sure how long you ran it,but I doubt you did any damage,but its best to get it changed.Also you should get a owners manuel too
 
Yes it is underneath the assy, right over the swinging drawbar. you have it correct regarding the fill holes. Mine has a 3/8 'full level' plug, on the right side.
 
what is the assy? right over the swinging drawbar? Can you see it in any of the pictures? Thanks again for the help!
 
Drain plug should be:
Underside of the rearend. above the drawbar. you have to lay on yer back and crawl under...
sorta like a car with drain plug in bottom of oil pan.
 
The assembly under the hydraulic pump is the actuator for either a lifting bail, (earlier) or the snap coupler (later). These were Case's versions of the 3 point hitches.
 
They are right, the plug is above the drawbar. a little 80-90 won't hurt tho. My dc has a week hyd. pump so I run a 50-50 mix of 80-90/hyd. oil. been running it for 10 years. The front end loader won't lift much without the mix. Maybe I'll fix the pump some day.
 
Roy, snap coupler was the AC quick hitch, Eagle Hitch was Case and hooked up to most any implement the Ferguson style 3 point would hook to unlike AC and International/Farmall quick hitch designs.

I knew that and stand corrected. I don't think I ever saw an Eagle Hitch or a snap coupler. I grew up with a fast hitch and used a few "now standard" 3 point hitches.
I had a lifting bail on my DC, but took it off in about 2003 or 04 not too long after it got it. It had a broken ear on the cylinder and I didn't have any need for it. It is in storage along with the generator and the hand crank.
 
I was reading your questions and answers here. these guys are correct. I noticed that yu have a mower behind...how are you adjusting the height....I see no remote hydraulic cylinder and hoses and you dont have a 3 point hitch. ??
 
That was a 3pt brush hog, I welded the axle on the back.. no way to adjust the hieght, I have the blades about 6 inches off the ground. It hooks to a ball hitch on the tractor. Havent figured out how to use the eagle hitch as a 3pt, would have to have add an achor point somewhere for the 3rd point. Plus the eagle is solid where as a 3pt has play back and forth. I dont have any 3pt impliments right now.

Can you see the drain plug in the picture? The only one I see under the tractor is for the rearend.

I prefer the rigid eagle hitch to the flop around Ferguson style but others don't, its all a matter of preference and experiences. In the later 60s Case added stabilizer bars to the std. ,after they discontinued the eagle hitch, to make it more rigid and act more like the eagle hitch I guess. The only implement that really needs to be Case and made for the Eagle hitch is the moldboard plow as the eagle hitch era plow floats rather than the draft arms. Most any 3pt implement will hook to the eagle hitch. BTW, your 1950 DC has a different hitch, its not the eagle hitch. Eagle hitch didn't come out on the DC and SC until 1952.

Ok I found it.. I thought that was the plug for the rearend, and there was another for the hydraulics. Thanks again for the help.
