995 lift question

my 995lift will leak off slowly a few inches and the raise back to the previous setting.it does this in a jerking motion. is there a adjustment or do i have a problem.

sounds like the hyd lift piston seal is worn,is it leaking oil out at the lift latch on the left?.

The other poster is probably correct - the lift cylinder seal. What is happening is the seal leaks, the lift drops, the control detects the drop, and supplies pressure to lift it back to position. This usually indicates that the control valve and pump are in good shape, just leaking seal.

thanks for the input . no external leaks are showing on lift latch side.

Don't want to be disagreeable but the piston seal leak should show up externally as the rockshaft is not a tightly sealed area that oil has to return to the tranny. Sounds like a check valve in the selectomatic valve may be worn allowing oil to return through the valve. mEl
