case black knight

Production numbers are not known, but it really depends on the model and condition. Every dealer probaly had at least one, so you can always find a few for sale online. A nice original is worth the most, and obviously as condition drops, so does the value. Restored Black Knights do seem to hold their value fairly well, if it"s restored, just make sure it"s real. I think most usally sell a little above normal, probably $6000-$7500, but higher prices are often asked, and a few may have sold at or above the 10k mark. I don"t know what model you"re looking at, but I would say the common to rare list would go something like this. 970, 1070, 870, 1170, 770, 1470, 1090.

Jason is the man with the numbers. We ordered an 870 Golden Demonstrator in 1970 w/Power Shift, cab and heater. In 71 we ordered an 870 and 1070 Black Knights with PS/cab/air/heat. We got the 870 and accepted a desert sunset 1070 with same specs. My good friend 36mi. to the east, a CNH dealer today also got an 870 GD in 70 and received a 1070 Black Knight in 71 He never got the 1470 Black Knight he ordered but did receive a Desert Sunset version. Both of us got the ordering programs on these tractors but could not get the discounts for documented demonstrations. That was OK because we had the extra Demonstrators sold anyway.

i will have to get back with you on model of tractor it is in original condition its in pretty good shape the paint is in ok shape . tractor has a cab and duals . so did case just make these tractors to demo there new model tractors ? then they sold the tractors at a discount over a brand new model because it had been demoed?
thanks Shaun

Shaun; The Demo's were production tractors with special paint and a special sticker on a plate mounted above the sn plate identifing it as a demo with the dealer name on it. There were ordering programs and a warranty varience to adjust for the demo hrs. and $$$ discounts with proper paper work filled out by farmers who tried out the tractors, which were passed on to the final owner. I have to do some digging in my "stuff" some where I have 1 or 2 of the stickers and each dealer got a 1/16 scale model 1070 also. I have both the GD and Black Knight. I probably have one of the most complete and largest Case toy collections in the country.

Thanks for the reply would you. Be willing to sell one of those stickers ? I got a look at this black knight. And check out the serial number plate. . I to collect toy tractors and real tractors and anything tractor Related really would love to see pictures. Of your collection.
Thanks shaun

Finally went a looked at the tractor again. It"s a model 1070 . I couldn"t see any other tags besides the serial number tag
