case 730 eagle hitch will it fit a case 830

i have a case 831 ser#8217044 someone has taken the eagle hitch arms off and put a set of john deere arms on it, i have found a case 741 ser#8173675 that has the eagle hitch on it, it also has a short backband on it above the pto shaft and another hookup on top. can i put the 3-point arms off the 741 on the 831. also will the radiator and fan blade off the 741 (it is a lp) fit the 831 it is a diesel, i can buy the tractor for parts if they will work. thanks for the info.

lamont thanks for the reply, from the picture i sent of the 741 would all i have to do is unbolt the hitch off my tractor and bolt the hitch from the 741 on by the way the decal on the tractor sas 730 not 741 thanks

I haven't seen a picture, but yes, the Eagle hitch should unbolt from the 730 and bolt right up to your 830. Where are you located?

as lamont said, hitch for sure. Start soaking the bolts as they are low and get all the mud and water and rust up.

Radiator maybe.. if both are the same style then they should interchange. The trick will be if your 830 and the 730 is

1, Case-o-matic or not and
2, are the short hoods or tall hoods (early or mid models)

As lamont said you'll have to measure. post pictures of here and we can see what you're looking at and help you better.

inccase, thanks for the info, the tractors are both dual-range 8 speed (3 foward, 1 revese with low and high range, i will have to go back and take pics of the hood the 730 is a rowcrop with a tricycle frontend the 830 i have is a wide frontend, what i could see of the radiator appears to be the same the top and bottom coolant hoses are in the same place, the fan shroud is the same, what is the difference between a short hood or a tall hood my tractor is supposed to be 61-62 model

I believe it was 63-64 the 730/830 had taller hoods and grills like the Comfort kings. They were kind-of an in between the eagle and C-kings'

The difference will be the taller hooded units had an extension tube/pipe that moved the radiator cap up 6 or so inches to the top of the taller hoods. A good radiator shop might ??? be able to remove the the tube and put the shorter rad cap from yours on it.

If they're both 1960 thru 62 you're good to go.

If you need parts and you're getting the parts tractor "reasonable" you probably can't got too wrong with it.

Gary ,

The early ones ( low profile ) had the

air cleaner on the side of the tractor by

the exhaust , the later ones ( high profile)

had the air cleaner in the front grill in

front of the radiator.
