CASR 930 QUESTION

Tom remember they also continued to make the six speed /chain drive along with the 8 speeds into the mid sixty's as I remember they had want Case use to call/at least the dealers did a (fire sale) on the left over ones they had in storage at some warehouse wish we had ordered a bunch in but my dad could see not need to order one not available with 3-pt hitch at the time, don't remember the price but was around half what a 8-speed cost or less at the time with a great fore plan option I think it may have been like the last combine we got in when they dropped them, pay for it when you sell it no time limit I may be wrong on the tractors but I remember well on the combines, that was the deal

Hi Tom S. Remember the "fire sale " on 1030's after the 70 series came out? I believe they were invoiced to us for about $8,000.00 with std. FP. terms. Those elephant ear fenders sure were ugly though My dad was much loke yours. He never sold a 930 until the DOM's Sold a lot of 800com's with ST 4&5 b plows though.

I had a 65 930 that had the square fenders six speed trany. I sold it to Ted and its now over in Cambodia. I was thinking it was 65 was when Case dropped the six speed and chain drive.

hanks to all for the helpful info. Caseman, I thought the same thing but was unsure. I helped my grandpa harvest rice every summer down in Eagle Lake Tx from the age of ten until he died in 1983. The first year I helped my job was to drive that old 930 pulling an auger cart and that is why I have this fondness for case tractors. Thanks again for all the info guys!
