My Dad is asking me to find out some information on this tractor. It looks to be a 1947 Case LAI with airbrakes. He is wanting to know availability of parts mainly. Can you folks direct me to where I can find some?

It would be nice to know the year, is the serial tag still there or check on the engine flange left side, as this is helpful. Quite a few sources for parts, John Saeli, Don Livingston, Steiner Parts, and the link on the board here. There is also a gentleman from Canada that posts here. There are others also. EBAY is another source. They need to know what you are looking for.

Once you get the serial number, contact me as I have an LAI parts book. (If the serial number begins 51xxxxx, it is definitely a 1947 model.) I seriously doubt it has air brakes; at least the parts book does not show them, just hydraulic and mechanical.

I have one too! And they really do have airbrakes, it has airpods on the back axle like a semi does! Mine has US Navy onit! The Serial number on mine is 4905642LAI. Im lookin for anyinfo on mine!

Yes, they do have air brakes. I have a '45 model with a belt driven compressor, side mounted air tank with air brakes and glad-hand hook-ups on the back. You should be able to find most any parts for the tractor itself. As far as the brake system goes, good luck.
