Looking at buying a used case 1988 1835c, 3k hours, diesel, good tires 60%, aux hyd, cab heater, lights, up graded to a 1840 quick hookup and 60" dirt bucket. is it worth $5,500. Are these good for general landscape work, moving dirt & gravel, post hole drilling, snow removal. I may need to trench and stump grind also if this will do it. I have been told that the aux hyd have a 16.8 gph flow rate. Any help would be great!
Thanks

I like the one I have. That's a good price. I had to buy the two lever guick tach but have not put it on yet. That little item sells for around $900. I an building an enclosure for snow removal. You will freeze to death if you run one without it.

It has Plexiglas on both sides of the cage and a back window. The owner said the front door was torn off years ago by the loader arm. There is a Little heater box on the left side of the floor that has coolant lines going to it with a fan.

Will the back window cut down on any of the engine noise??? The bottom right corner of the rear window opening is where I will put the heater.

The heater looks like a factory installed one. It works very good but since I have no door yet just the the left foot stays warm. I have not owned one so this is my first, the window in the back may reduce engine noise but not by much. The cab seems to get a lot of fumes in it , not sure what will happen when I put a door on it.
