Had a doctors visit yesterday and they said things are looking good. They took x-rays and leg seems to be healing good. Said the tape over stitches could go.

Tape is gone, am suppose to start physical therapy today. Not really looking to that.

Have the ok from doctor to return to work next month part time. Boss said he would give me a chance. I am still unable to put any weight on leg for another 4 weeks. Not sure how it will be trying to wait in customers with crutches. Hopefully part time will keep the insurance paid. Got my first bill from insurance company and it's just over 19000.00. Insurance is picking up the big share of that bill. So far it's costing me at least 1 tractor ha ha ha. Doc also said I could drive as long as I didn't have a clutch and wasn't driving in Chicago or New York with heavy traffic. Later.

Glad to hear you are getting better. A couple wicked looking scars you have there.
Have you had a chance to see how much dammage
was done to the tractor? Len

Glad to hear things are healing well. Have you tried to barter payment of your bill with the doc? Just trade him the tractor directly? Maybe he'll let it set then you can get it back. HA HA

damage to the tractor, noticeable. Broke exhaust elbow. bent air intake stack, rh fender bad,lh fender rolled onto a boat hitch, fixable, and need to check crank to see if it's bent and blowed rh front tire.

Did a little bit of playing with clutch handle. It does have play to where it may have it against it and not went far enough to disengage and possible I hit the brake handle and stopped before it engaged. Clutch seems to engage and disengage sitting there not running. May get my brother and nephew give it a pull and see how the clutch reacts. Just guessing so far.

Caseman-d - First of all I am glad to see you are getting along ok. From past experience I can tell you that physical therapy is very, very important. It is something that you want to work on very hard. It will save many stiff joints, and aches and pains in your later years.
From the pictures it appears someone up above must have been looking out for you. Good luck and hope everything turns out ok.

At 1st i thought you jumped Or were thrown clear ,, now i wonder if the seat or other apparatus got your legs pinned ?/ Do You recall what happened ? and where you ended up , Rather Under ? /? . forgive me for prying . are There Other injurys besides legs/?.. Caseman, what ever the medical costs,it doesnt matter, your with your family, and with us,you will get through this. And one thing you have taught all of us.We need to slow down and concentrate on what we are doing.I was told by a guy that picked up large truck wrecks,he always leaves his cell phone in the truck, and tells others to leave him alone when he is loading.
Thanks for the update,I was wondering how your doing.Thank God you will ride that tractor again sometime

Hummmm ....I had a call from that very hospital the same the time it mishap happened Tom. They where lookin for {axle] knee parts !!! I sent new old stock parts asap. You will be "good as new" very soon. I hope they didn"t mark up the parts much.....Good Luck....Dr Don L.

What, all that knee surgery and no grease zerk? An old guy in town that worked at a dealership once had a hip replaced and he asked for a grease zerk to keep it loose!

DR Livingston, must of been why DR had to wait till Friday to do surgery. He did say he had to wait for the plate to get here. With me working in parts at my regular job I was worried if it would show up in time. With weekend coming and all. Haven't seen detailed bill yet, just condensed version.
Thanks

Dr did say something about putting something in the socket for support, don't suppose they made it into a sealed bearing type set up. :):):)
