All original 1943 CASE VAI Tractor with working mid-mount sickle-bar mower. This is one of the Case-Detroit hi-way mowers, can operate through 135 degrees of lift, from 90 above horizontal to 45 below.
Tractor has all original tin in very good shape, serial# and dealer delivery tags. Electric Start. Engine does not smoke at all. Has been my project for the past few years. Fixed and repaired many things; all fluids, filters, water pump & belt, temp guage, rear tires and rims. Rebuilt PTO, w/ new bearings and seals. Repaired brakes and replaced differential brake half-shaft seals. Replaced axle seals. Repaired mower lift mechanism, replaced sickle-knives & guides. Replaced reverse idler gear, steering wheel. Runs well, very strong.

Here's the stuff it will need;
Charging sys not 100%, voltage regulator I think. Doesn't have the cut-out with resistor switch, but rather a VR. Have new ammeter guage, haven't gotten to troubleshooting this yet.
Bearings in tranny whine some under load, probably will need to be replaced in the near future.

It's been a great little tractor for me to learn on, have had a lot of fun with it. On the fence now about keeping and finishing repairs or selling now, for some other ol' girl has caught my eye.

Not sure it would be worth the time and effort to fix everything vs selling now. I know they do not command big money anyhow just wondering should I invest the time now to fix it all if it's not going to make a significant difference in the selling price anyhow.
