A friend of mine is selling his ailing DB 1200. He tells me the tractor runs well and is very smooth in the field, but has hydraulic issues. He was using it to run his round bailer and the hydraulics would not allow the rear gate to close, as it kept the line pressurized when he tried to close it. It also does the same thing with the three point arms, the arms go up, but don't go down.

Any idea what is ailing this tractor and what kind of fix there is for the problem?

I am considering purchasing the tractor if I can get it repaired at a decent price.

I fixed a similar problem on a 990 some time ago, so I'm a little rusty, but it was just a little pin stuck. I removed it cleaned it up, and it worked. If you get a I&T repair manual it covers the hydraulics pretty well.
