Case 1816B Chain Replacement

I'm replacing the drive chains on my skid steer and ran into a problem on one of the back chains, I can't get the hub to spin. When I put it on wheels stands. all four wheels could be turned. There is very little room there to get a hand. I flushed out a lot of junk in the wheel wells. Short of removing the motor (which I don't want to do), just how does one get at the rear sprockets? My service manual shows the parts, but no clues on how to do it.

There is a cover that slides out the back. You will need to drive it out under the console.
