900 propane

Hello all. I have a 900 propane that is (was) my main puller until it developed fuel system problems. It still has the origial Ensign system on it, and I would like to keep it that way. The tractor will pop when first trying to start, then die and do nothing. It seemed to do that before and a shot of starting fluid would usually cure the problem. I have been googling ensign carburetors to try to find service information, but without success. Is there an Ensign GURU anywhere that could guide me, or be a source for parts. Some club members say to put an Impco on it and don't look back. I guess that is an option if it can be made to look like it belongs there. thanks Loy

Have you checked with your local LP supplier. Thought mine said he could get parts for at least the regulator.

Call Everhart LP Supply Co. in Lone Wolf, Okla. at this number 580-846-5633. They sell kits for several different brands of LP regulators.

A friend of ours was restoring a 900LP & could not find any LP parts from the CASE dealer. He found everything at a John Deere dealer with no problem. I've heard this from others restoring propane tractors.
