995 David Brown

I purchaced a 995 David Brown 6 months ago. I have since put a new radiator in it. The tractor has had a new water pump put on it not that long ago, because it still has the price sticker on the pump. It seems to be leaking just above the water pump. Is there a threaded pipe that goes between the water pump, and into the head?? I haven't taken anything apart in this area yet. I just wondered if there is a seal between the water pump, and where it connects to the head? Thanks, Kevin.

There is a rubber jumper grommit that goes up to the head. You may need to drop the pump down and make sure the grommit is in there straight. You may also need to place a machined washer into the water pump recess to give the grommit more pressure. Been there done that.
good luck
Kevin

Two thickness of grommets. Get the thicker one if you can and use some rtv blue lightly to hold the grommet in place. They have a tendancy to slip if nothing used to hold in place. If you can't find the grommet give me a shout as I have spares.

Thank you fellows for answering my questions about the 995 David Brown water pump. I kind of figured there was some kind of O-ring seal between the water pump and the head, but just wanted to check with someone that has worked on them before. I'm not used to working on these tractors, most all of mine are Red, with IH on them. Thanks again, and if I have any more questions, I'll ask the experts. Kevin.
