Case C or L

What is the best way to tell the difference between the C and L. in pictures.
Did the C ever have 14-30 rear tires. Have a lead on one, the owner thought it was a C and then his brother thought it was a L. Have no serial number. Does have a gap between the platform and fenders, no brake pedals that I can see.

Also, around the fuel tank on L is a second steel band holding it to the brackets, a little more than halfway to the rear of the tank. The rear of each fender on the L comes almost down to the frame crossbar at the rear of the tractor, being maybe 6" above it anchored with a steel strip on each side of the fender. On the C they end much further above the frame, and are rounded at the rear back end. The magneto on the C sits almost exactly in the middle, front-to-back, of the engine block.

Sorry I didn't catch up with you guys at Prairie Village. It was a really great show.

Thanks for the reply's and info. Got the serial number today. It's L308272. It does run, has been converted to rubber. 3 speed trany. Pictures sure make it in good shape for a 29. Thats 10 years older than any of my other tractors. Will have to see if I can come up with some cash to buy it now. Just hate to have one get away.

I need to socialize more when I go to events like PV. Stop and smell the roes as they say.
