57' 300 case hand clutch

It's a dry clutch. I believe you adjust it by changing the length of the operating rod. There should be a threaded end that allows you to adjust the hand lever travel distance.

ok, thanks. it just got me wondering why they diid not intergreat the drive and pto clutch to the foot clutch, like a ford

The foot clutch is adjusted as you say, however, the hand clutch is a "wet" clutch and is adjusted by removing front trans cover, lifting adj pin and turning finger assy. Similar to 30 series PTO adj.

ah-ha, i knew some thing had to be differnt, when you mean removing the front cover, you mean the shift cover????? or is there somthing behind the dash??? i have not looked at it that close yet.
thanks, nick

The cover ahead of the 4spd/rev cover, held on w/4 3/8 bolts. Put triple range in neutral and carefully lift off.

You need to get a shop manual. You are not going to be able to adjust that handclutch by what has been told to you here. With the discription in the shop manual it is very easy. If I can find my shop manual I will copy the discription on this site.

JRT, if you can do that it would be great. i have not had a chance to look at it yet, may be tonight.
thanks nick
