I purchased a 1987 case 2294 this summer the three point one day started to raise and didn't stop until it broke and split the tractor axel to axel I took it in and got it fixed they put a 2394 tramission diff case underneath it I brought it home ran it about 10 to 20 hours when I notice a loud humming coming from underneath or behind me while running the tractor a few hours later the trans oil light came on fluid level was good I changed Filters And ran it a few hours baling the light went off and the humming stop but started right up again. Its been below 30 degrees this week I went and started it and it really humms now and one other thing the tree point lever doesn't work like it should its either all up or all down as a beggining farmer I would really apreaciate some advice THANKS

ANDY, I don't know what your repair person did for you but the 2294 and the 2394 are totally different transmissions and will not join together, the only pattern that would match would be at the bell housing. The 2294 is a longer housing that joins to a housing containing the power shift. The power shift in a 2394 is in the rear transmission housing, the two are not compatible, however as CA has stated, you need to find out why the hitch is not cancelling. There is linkage inside the rear cover to manually move the DOM spool to a shutoff position which can get out of adjustment and certainly the high pressure hydralic setting on the compensator should be checked

fIRST i am not expert on this. However you need to get to problem before you use 3 point again!!!!! !!! I think you would be wise to remove pto an back cover an have knogeable person look inside to see that all is assembled corectly(PISTON PUSH ROD WITH ROUND ENDS ECT). Idont know if your park brake is working correctly but if someone put tractor in gear an did not have park RELEASEDit is possible to spring park pawl away from gear an it will give whining noise as it wears on top of big gear.Other points to check are-relief pressure did control stop three point when it should have-were outside lift arms correctly adjusted so as not to catch an not be able to raise. Obivoulsy something went very wrong to split casting an you need to find prooblem before you use tractor. I am sure others more familiar will help you.You can also go to cnh web site an see parts diagram Again do not run tractor till you find problem!!!!!
