i looked at an ac 7045 with power director. it has acousta cab II with gear shift lever on console. i could not figure out how to shift it.
i am used to ac 7080 power director with gear shift on floor. can you convert back to shifter on floor. it must be same pattern but with different linkage. ac shifting decals on tractor confused me even more. what is the trick ?
i tried turning t-handle and still had problems.

The handle has to come back to neutral to shift. It's been a long time since I was in dad's, but I know that some gears are forward, some are backwards and neutral is in the middle. So, to go from 1st to 2nd, you have to pull it out of 1st, back to neutral, turn the t handle to wherever 2nd is, then pull it into 2nd. Bit complicated, but a lot nicer than the nut grinder between the legs stick. Once you catch on, it works pretty slick. I know it's all cables, so your not gonna want to try the find'emorgrind'em.
