'38 B data plate question ...

I've got an unrestored early '38 B - no electrics and hand brakes, with the arched-style adjustable front end (adjusts out near the spindles).

In the toolbox I have a small stamped aluminum plate which gives all the specs on the tractor, such as timing and spark plug gap, etc. Can't figure out where the plate was originally attached. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The plate was located on the manifold.

Jae,
If you are in the DFW area come over and take a gander of the '39 model I am getting started on.
I am located between Burleson and Mansfield, south of Ft.Worth, on FM 1187.
Also, I can get some parts for these little tractors

Like Dick said, on the manifold. Hold the plate up to the manifold and you will find two mounting holes that correspond to the holes in the plate. It uses a couple of machine screws to hold it in place.

Phil

P.S., Where are you located in Tx? I'm between Waco and Temple.

It would have been on the manifold as it came from the factory. I will look for a picture if you need one.
