I recently viewed a post I can not find , about the two twenty fwas , that 100 were made , and 50 recalled , and coverted to 2wd . by removing the fwa , and covering the trans slash rearend with a cover . my question , where did the fwa / plate get bolted to trans , rearend . and does any one have a picture of it

Doubt very much that there were 50 reconfigured to a 2WD. Maybe 20. The cover plate would be on the bottom of the rear end housing at the front of the housing where it mates with the 4-speed transmission. Another clue would be 4th gear is 5.8 MPH (instead of 4.5 MPH) and 5th gear is 6.3 MPH which is very close to 4th. The FWA only worked in the lower 4 gear selections.

Not 50. That would have been half of the 100 they originally built. Personally, I think 10 or less, but I have no way to prove it.
