The original subject was "AllisChalmers Model G".

Nice job. Is that tall air stack from the factory? I have '48 and '49 Gs and there isn't that stack or hole in the hoods.

I don't know if its factory or not. The bracing all fits perfectly

The tall breather stack is in the parts book. The parts book states "Not used in production: Special for dusty conditions".
Don't find a part number for a "kit". Just individual parts. Perhaps a do it yourself option.

Yes, that's an optional air stack on our G.

My dealers parts catalog lists part # 3 800675 for the stack item # 12.
Items 11, 12 thru 16 list clamps, brace, hoses, bolts/screws.
Tractor was bought/used by Clemson Univ on their test plots.

Attn: Richard G What's your recollection of this tractor?
Thanks, Sam

I used 2 of the 3 G's that Clemson had. If the one you are talking about has the head or block welded up, I remember it well.
It sort of disappeared when a certain professor retired and it was in down state SC for a while.
Don't know what happened to it later. I had to put a new fan shaft on it one time.
I think the one I used the most is still at Clemson but is not used any more.
We rebuilt the engine in it I converted it to 12 volts and put an electric lift on it. Spent many hundreds of hours on it planting grain plots all over SC.
Had to replace a broken axle in it one time and a differential ring gear came loose once. Took a while to figure that out.
It is the best of the 2 that I used.
The third one was gone many years ago and I know nothing about it.
Do you know which one you are talking about?
Richard

Don't see any head/block weld. Looks like complete engine overhaul crank turned, block bored, & valve guides. Some notes from W.H. Rhodes, Clemson Sand Hill Station - this must be one that you never saw. Creeper gear & fairly rare nose weight with hydraulics.
