I recently inherited my dad's AC 5150. Runs great, PTO works. No belly mower or other attachments other than the small finishing mower that he had attached. I would like some input as to what it is worth as I an interested in selling it but need advice on asking price.

Back off a ways and shoot a few more pictures. That would help. More description too. Condition of things is important, especially tires?

Instantly looses a few hundred with the poor repaint of the rims,or any other rattle can painted parts. It doesn't help anyway. It
just looks like you're trying to hide something. That's my opinion anyway.

I haven't done anything to it. The way it is now is the way I received it. My dad passed away recently and I just inherited the tractor from his estate. I am just looking to sell it and just needed some advice on the value of it. Not looking for it to be critiqued, just don't want to sell if or give it away for practically nothing if I can get a few hundred dollars out of it to help pay for my dad's funeral expense.

It's pretty low hrs.,looks clean and cared for. I'd start at 3500.00 with the mower and entertain serious offers. Also depends on
demand in your area.
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Been there, know how it feels.

Thanks for the condolences about my father. It's been rough. I like the little tractor but it just don't have the power I need. I would love to keep it use the attached finishing mower but I tried to use it in a field behind my house and it just bogged down and the tractor couldn't handle it. It is definitely something that has to be used for a finishing mower and NOT a bush hog !!! I learned that quickly! If I had a belly mower with it I may consider keeping it but the odds of finding a belly mower for it are slim I am sure. Any idea how I would find the exact year of this mower? I have the serial number but have had no luck researching it online. The serial number is 9518.

Well as far as a Sale price it would be in the $2000-3000 range. It depends on what part of the country your in. The 5015 is the smallest of that family of sub-compact tractors. Not many sold the 5020 and 5030 are more common and bring around $3500-4500.

Also another option. Your tractor bogging down in tall grass is more you trying to do some thing with the WRONG tool. You can buy a 4 ft. bush hog type mower for $400-500 and then you could mow taller stuff. Personally if I had room to store it I would get a different mower and keep it. You only get your Father's tractor once. See the fellows on this site trying to find their Father' tractors after the years have gone by.

It is a 1985 18hp according to Tractor Data

The TractorData website says that the AC 5015 is the same thing as the 9518 Simplicity tractor. It shows that the 9518 Simplicity tractor used a 48" mid mount mowing deck.
