Model C Wide Front End

Were there any "C" tractors built with a wide front end/axle? Or an option for a wide front? I think the B and C are fundamentally the same other than the front, right? Or is a B lower to the ground? (The rear end different?)
I'm just trying to learn more.
Thanks!

Adjustable wide front was available for the C, as well as a single front wheel. B is a one-row tractor, the C being wider, is a two-row tractor. Arched fron axle on the B allows later cultivation.

I suppose you could say they are "fundamentally" the same, but there are some items which will fool you. Like the steering gear, and the final drives. Not only are the final drive housings different length, but the internals are different too. Hence the different speeds between a B and C.

I have been looking at pictures and I saw some wide front C?s. They are different from the B?s. Could someone change a tricycle to a wide front? I guess parts availability could be the challenge.

Okay, revisiting this 2 month old thread. Still learning. There's a YouTube video by a guy who goes by jc who swaps a wide front onto a "C" from a parts tractor. Don't know if you have seen it. The wide front axle is curved to clear taller crops and appears non-adjustable. It looks like a "B" axle to me. jc is sure it's a "C" because the parts tractor has a starter. (Were any "B's" equipped with starter?) Anyway he gets the swap done.

My question: were high-center wide front axles available for the "C"? I have not seen that on tractordata.com. Is there a good all A-C resource on the web?

Thanks

The only wide front axle for a C was the square tube one that ran horizontal across the front of the tractor. You can put a B front end on, but you have to change the steering gearbox and drag link as well. C steering arms are "up", B arms are "down".
