I have it at home. Two-wheel drives are waaaay slower geared than Front assist tractors. So, which is it ??

I didn't know there was a difference. I would love to know both and if you have the information on the 8050 and 8030 (which I suspect is the same). I think the 8070 has
more reduction than the smaller ones to take the greater torque off the rest of the power train. I know JD did this in the 4840, 4850, 4955 and 60.

8070 FWA and all 8050/7060/7050/7045's are the same final drives and are geared a bit faster than the 8030/7040/7030/7020/7010. Two-wheel drive 8070/7080's are the slowest geared and are 4 inches wide versus the others at less than 3 inches wide.

7040 and smaller are 5.6 to 1..................7045 up thru 7060 are 5.4 to 1.................7080/8070 2 wheel drives with 4 inch wide planetaries are 6.6 to 1.

(quoted from post at 14:31:37 08/21/18) 7040 and smaller are 5.6 to 1..................7045 up thru 7060 are 5.4 to 1.................7080/8070 2 wheel drives with 4 inch wide planetaries are 6.6 to 1.

According to the Agco parts books the later 8070 2WDs went back to the 5.4:1 final drive ratio. Is this correct?

I think that is probably true. If this is true, it is very obvious because the final drives outer ring gear is NOT 4 inches wide. You don't even need a tape measure to see that versus the 2 1/2" or so width of the 5.4 to 1 ratio. Why is this of concern to you ??
