Did allis have a mounting kit to mount a No.8 JD mower on a WD 45?

No, but JD did. It was a very simple frame which replaced the drawbar and bail. It had the two mounting hubs, and a little drawbar. But, as I recall, I think you can take the mounting brackets for a JD 50, and bolt them to the AC bail and make it work.

Towards the back, you will find drawings of the hitches that ere available for various tractors.

What version do you have, the older #5's had a bolt-on hitch, later versions had quick-release couplers.

I had a Case SC with a Deere #5 mower. The brackets were homemade and worked fine. I'm sure you could rig up brackets for your WD.

The bracket I've used for years to put JD 5, JD 8 and JD 38 sickle mowers on my WD is shown on the above manual on page 55-11 at the bottom of the page. Works great. Used it for over 40 years.

Thanks for the replies. I have always had it on a late "JD " B. But got to thinking, it would be handy on the Allis. Looking at the pictures I think it would be pretty easy to mount on Allis.. Thanks again.
