Hi new to the forum and the allis b as it goes. Only bought it of a mate last week

Hope to get some useful information from the site and users on here
Is this an American site I?m in the uk

Firstly the rear left wheel rim wobbles ever so slightly there is a bit of play in its mounting to the wheel middle
I think this is due to the eccentric lugs but I am unsure on the right way of adjustment

Secondly the band brakes are completely new to me I have never worked on or used this type of braking system before
Although the tractor will roll and will stop very effectively when the brakes are pressed there is absolutely no travel in the brake pedals what so ever
Surely there should be a noticeable movement in the door pedal of brakes applie and released

And lastly for the time being at least what has been best tried and tested tvo mix for these little tractors

Thanks in advance

Welcome. It's an Anerican I listed site, but we will take anyone.

There should be 2 eccentrics for each wheel. They are the bolts with the cross stamped on the heads. Loosen the nuts and turn them clockwise to tighten. Off hand, I can't say for sure, but I think the lobe of the eccentric lines up with the long end of the cross.

I am not near my service manual, but the band brakes work pretty much as you describe. There should be enough play to flip the small cast triangle shaped thing over. That is the brake lock. You can take the cover off and get at the adjusting bolt.

Most guys here in the states just run 87 or so octane car gas in theirs. There may be a few trying to make something similar to distillate, but the vast majority of them are running on plain old gas.

The long part of the cross is where the cam lobe is on the bolts. You need the two bolts next to each other (not directly opposite) with the crosses point to the center of the wheel. Then I go and turn them together so they
evenly load the wheel (turn one clockwise and the other counterclockwise). Finally tighten up the nut.

tvo mix:
approx 5 gallons heating oil to 1 of petrol if just playing less petrol if working you can also add a little oil or 2 stroke oil if you want i don't, bigger engines like the model u i use neat heating oil have done hundreds of miles on road and days of ploughing never any trouble.
barry also in uk.
