Hello, new to the forum. Brought my Dad's C to Virginia from MN after he passed and have used it to mow 2 acres of yard. Reminds me of him. This past Sunday while mowing it just died. I had put gas on it so new it was not that. Would try to fore but not get it. I pulled the cover off the mag and that when the real trouble starts. there is no mark on the large gear. I have read several posts on how to time it but I am getting nothing. I have spark, and have lined up the rotor on #1 but can't get it to fire. It needs a new rotor and cap but like I said I do have spark. Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks
Vern

Its pretty hard to do without the mark. you can try it by turning the little gear mark to the top then there is a lug in the rotor part that the rotor can be lined up with, the lug is located in the cap in the upper left corner, other than that a new gear is the only answer
