D17 throw out bearing

If you have a slide hammer with some sort of a hook on the end. Alternate back and forth in about 3 places and it will come off. Use a piece of pipe to drive back on. I seldom do one like that because I always replace the shaft seals while the tractor is split apart.

Thanks, I ended up removing the carrier so I can make sure I
get the bearing on property. One more question while I wait on
parts is how hard is it to line up the hydraulic pump drive into
the pressure plate hub when sliding the Tractor back together.
Any tricks?? Thanks, Buddy

If you've got the clutch disk lined up good, it will start first, then the hyd splines will follow, no problem.

Always use anti-seize on the hollow shaft splines and slide the pressure plate on it BEFORE rolling the tractor back together to be sure it fits OK. Then bolt pressure plate to flywheel. Leave tractor in road gear when you roll it together to get the clutch disc to mate and then shift to neutral while you still turn engine by hand to get hollow shaft splines to mate.
