After setting all winter my wd started up an ran for about 15 minutes and started popping an finaly died.New plugs points and cond.Fresh gas.Cant get her to pop.Any help appreciated thanks.

If your saying you just put in new points and condenser etc. that was your first mistake one should trouble shoot then parts never the other way around.

#1 check that you have a good blue white spark at the center wire of the distributor and at all 4 plug wires. If you have that go to #2
#2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes. Poor flow work you way back to see where the clog is.
#3 when was the last time you serviced the air cleaner and dumped the mud and water out and put in fresh oil

Post back what you find so if you need more help we can help you help your self.

You said it sat all winter. check that your sediment screen isn't partially clogged. Could be a fuel delivery issue.

Points, plugs an cond were put in last fall.tractor ran fine when i parked it.Im getting a good flow of gas.I,ll check for spark later today.I,ll also check the air cleaner. Thanks so much for your comeback.

Could be the carb needing cleaned up. The crappy gas these days plays havoc quickly, even residual after draining.

It is not uncommon to need to burnish the points..maybe run a points file thru them..

Anything but the BEST Condensers can be Faulty right out of the box..

NAPA "Standard" are good, but buy a spare anyway..!

Very good chance the point will have cored over the winter and need to be cleaned up. I always say test spark first because that way you do not have gas places that could cause a fire

If you shut the gas off like you should not likely to be a carb problem more then likely to be a spark problem from sitting over the winter

Points are likely to be corroded. Since the point are closed almost all the time they sit together and they then corrode and then they do not work like they should. I keep a points file in my mobile tool box for just such a problem

I FOUND THE CONDENSER THAT I TOOK OUT LAST FALL AN REPLACED IT WITH THE NEW ONE THAT I PUT IN LAST FALL.it fired up an runs fine.Thank,s for everyone,s help.Don.

With the 50/50 chance with bad condensers I have not change one in over 10 years. But I also do not change the points all that often either.

Good to hear you got it running
