I removed the complete factory deck and clutch assembly from my 5020 Allis turf-tractor(next size up from the 5015).

Went with a John Deere 261 grooming mower suspended from the three-point and never looked back.

If I recall the front of the deck simply hung from a couple pivot points under the tractor.

The deck drive belt ran off an electric clutch assembly driven off the front engine pulley with a coupler shaft....the belt ran on a couple pulleys up front by the electric clutch to the main deck drive pulley. Had a toggle switch on the dash for the clutch

The deck lift mechanism was a cable/small pulley affair with the cable attached to the one of the three-point lift arms on one end and the back end of the deck on the other end. Raising the three-point lifted the deck.

The deck and fittings are Simplicity and these tractors were marketed by both Simplicity and Allis Chalmers. These all rotate backwards to most deck mowers and discharge from the left side versus right hand discharge on 99.9% of other brands of mowers! Blades are designed for left hand too and won't match anything available new today...

My big beef with the mower deck assembly on my little 5020 was that the electric clutch assembly made it quite impossible to keep grass clippings out of the radiator. The clutch assembly required the battery plate be located up high in front of the radiator...the clutch mechanism mounted below that and just open air....from which the mower discharge could would suck right into the radiator from underneath instead of pulling air through the grill.

Tractor would load the radiator screen quick and get hot. I tried making some baffles to keep the grass clippings out..but it just was not a workable deal. The original and previous owner had this same issue and he had actually owned a Allis Chalmers dealership back in the day. He thought there may have been a long gone plastic molded shield that helped with keeping the radiator grass-clipping free.

With the electric clutch package removed(an assembly)..the battery plate could be bolted back down low sealing the radiator from below. Then a couple hunks of foam left and right of hood and no more grass in radiator screen. I imagine it really helped too that the JD grooming deck is mounted behind the tractor and discharges far from the radiator.....
