Questions on B

I have a model B and have a couple of questions. First how big of a disc can I pull? I converted it to three point hitch a few years ago, does anyone make a quick hitch for it?

I would guess 6-8' would be all she wants. I wouldn't want to quick hitch it, they were already really light in the front. Set that disk back another 4" and it'll be that much lighter.

That is a loaded question! That will depend on tires and weight as well as how fast you want to pull it. You can get all kinds of answers and all will be right for that persons B. If your B is as it came from the factory you would probably would be most happy with a 5 to 6 foot disc. Dad pulled an 8 foot disc with his C having it loaded to the hilt and over size tires in the late 1940"s. The neighbor across the road farmed 40 acres with a B as it came from the factory and pulled a double horse disc that I would guess was 5 foot or less.

My Allis tandem disk that was made for a "B" is right around 6ft. Also, it probably would depend on what type of soil you are trying to disk.
