BRAKE PROBLEM

need information with brake D-17 series 4
something happened petal goes all the way down does not apply any braking on right side, has been ok for years, just happened all at once. took a quick look block that rod screws into for adjusting is loose indicating something with lower brake has something broken in lower rod area. looking for easy way to get to it to take a look without pulling axel housing.
series 4 factory 3 point hitch dual remotes, all the hyd. valves connect together mounded to axel and fender making this look like a major project. asking for any suggestions of best way to approach this project.

There is no way I know of short of pulling the axle. It is an intimidating job on the right side. I've seen all the hydraulic lines unhooked and the valve taken with the axle. I prefer to take out the four bolts holding the valve block to the support, and removing the pins on the control rods, and leaving the valve assembly intact with all the oil lines. As I recall, some of the position control/traction booster linkage has to be removed also.
