D-17 Three point

Does anyone have picture of an after market three point hitch for a d-17? Does anyone have one available? Thanks, Mark.

I built my own on the D-17 I have. I sued a couple of Ford 3 point arms and mounted a heavy angle iron bar across the draw bar for the arms to pivot on and then hook the lift area up to the snap coupler arms. I made a bolt on piece for the center link and bolted it to the rear end. If I could post pictures I would but I cannot.

This is not aftermarket, it is an AC snap coupler 3-pt. Works the best. Not for sale.

Wolfman, now that there is a very nice 3-Pt adaptor, and......you've got all the good pieces including the top-link with a wheel and the little crank on the leveling link.
Many an A-C man would give their eye teeth for that! LOL

Really like the looks of that center link bracket. Had a D-17 series 3, years ago, had the Allis draft arms as yours but not the center link assembly. Was that assembly standard with the kit? If so, I wonder if dealer did some switching around. Mine had the bracket up under the seat, draft arms had the tabs same as yours.

While that style of AC hitch works quite well, it doesn't allow any use of the PTO shaft. So, for some people, that wouldn't be acceptable. One could fabricate a top link bracket attached under the seat frame and move the top link up there.

Allis offered both versions.....I have one of each that came with WD-45s I bought.
I used to think that the style shown in the picture resulted in better
utilization of the "Traction Booster" system but so many people disagreed with me that I doubt that it is true.

Besides not being able to use the pto, the lift arm needs to be disconnected to attach the the implement. Better to fab a bracket that mounts under the seat and also attaches under the pto guard bracket. All the stress is on the lift arm with this design.

You can buy a reproduction of the top link bracket and a very well built "bolts to the drawbar" 3 point adapter from several of the aftermarket vendors. That is what I have on my D17 and I love it.

Yes, the top link assembly is part of the original 3-pt package. With this hitch and toppling you can lift a 3-bottom 3-pt plow as it should lift. This 3-pt plowed many acres and carried hundreds of 1000lb round bales to the cattle. I've tried a top link attachment designed that attached under the seat. It's near new and for sale. Nothing will lift high enough if using those high top links. A neighbor bought this 3-pt assembly pictured new from local AC dealer. I bought it at his estate sale. Used it on the WD-45 for years then on two different 17s.
