D17 series 1 plugs

What plugs should I use
The tractor only sees light use so I'm
thinking a hotter plug?

If I remember right I put in a set of NGK3112 plugs in the D-17 I have

I sold a WD45 and a C, but still have a D15II. I put about the hottest plugs I could in them, and they worked fine. I'd remove plugs and they had a good color, so I stuck with it.

You have to determine which length of spark plug you need first. Oldest D-17's used the 3/8" reach plugs like a WD45.....AC Delco 45 is the standard, so go with a 46 or 47 for hotter. Later D-17's used a 3/4" reach plug and 45XL or 45XLS is the standard plug...go the 46 XL or XLS or 47 XL or XLS. MANY OLDER D-17'S HAD CYLINDER HEADS REPLACED OVER THE YEARS, SO IT COULD BE EITHER HEAD REGARDLESS OF THE TRACTOR SERIAL NUMBER.
