Did allis chalmers make a cab for a wd or a wd45 ?

I've never heard of one being built by A/C but the other day I posted about a WD45 on Craig's list that had one on it. If I had the $$ it would have been sitting here by now

No. Heathouser had a canvas cab, what they called a weather break, but no steel cabs.

I have no idea if some one made it or it was made by some company that did custom cabs. I know the pictures of it look like it is a pretty good looking cab but that is all I know about the thing

I remember years and years ago a company was advertising steel cabs for Farmall H & M and Oliver I think 60. The reason I definatly remember the Farmalls was we had a H at that time. NO I don't remember name of company or where located and never saw one of their cabs. It is conciveable that if they made for the Farmall that they might have made for an AC as well. This was before factory cabs became popular. I rember thinking would be nice to have had on our Farmall H and the Farmall and a late John Deere B were our big tractors. We had homebuilt cabs on the JD B and Ford 2N.

A few post down on the post about the belt pulley plug I posted some pictures of the cab my Dad built in the 60's for a WD. It did not draw any interest so I won't bother with posting again. I guess it was kind of an eye-sore since it was together with what was on hand a the time except some house windows from Sears & Roebuck that cost about $15.00. It sure made driving in the winter time more tolerable with the engine heat coming back unless wind was coming at your back which was open.

We used the canvas heat-houser's also and they worked good except when we were out all day picking up corn in late November that the old corn pickers dropped. Nothing could keep a person doing that slow job.

I built one for my Cub Cadet 682. Made out of 2x2's and 1/4" luan plywood and Plexiglas. No heat but really not needed with a snowblower. Plenty of movement to keep warm enough. Especially if the sun is shining. I built it in place, planning to remove it for summers. This is the second one we built. I wouldn't blow snow without one again if I could help it.

I posted about a year ago a picture of a cozy cab on a wd. I believe it was from MN. The guy did a excellent job mounting it. I would love to find out who has it to get more pictures of how the mounts were fabricated to fit so well.--adam see ytmag link

I have a aluminum automatic electric equipment cab on one of my WD45s. They were a universial cab sold by many tractor dealers.
Allischalmers didn't put a cab on until the 190s came out. Anything before that was aftermarket, homemade, or adapted from something else.
